I spent a night at the Alexandra following a cosmetic procedure. I can’t fault the surgeon and his team. However, I wasn’t as impressed with the care on the ward!

I was very nervous as I’d never stayed in hospital, the nurses and health care assistants couldn’t have been more reassuring. They were fabulous. They were friendly, patient with me and so helpful. They made me feel at ease.
The facilities were clean, nice and exactly what you’d expect. Perfect stay!

I initially thought my care was of standard whilst at the hospital.
Unfortunately post operatively I cannot say the same.
But what I will say is make sure you check your package price if self paying.
I have encountered shocking behaviour by senior management whilst trying to have my complaint resolved.
16 months later still no resolution.
I would not recommend this hospital and my overall experience has left me very distressed and out of pocket.

I came at 7am and op wasn't until 3pm
There was a used plaster under the bed on arrival unit

Having visited various hospitals I have to say the Highfield stands out by a mile. As soon as you arrive you are met with a pleasant helpful reception team in all of the buildings on the site.
Hospital admission was straight forward with the porters showing you to the required area and explaining how things work.
The nurses are the best i have experienced, chatty, caring, interested and obviously enjoy working at the hospital and this experience was the same on any shift.
The food was excellent and the place was spotless.
Such a refreshing change.
